FIGURE STUDIES WORKSHOP-drawing and painting

6 week course starting May 1 2017

This workshop is an excellent way to gain experience and practice with drawing and painting the live model. These are two separate classes but most students take both in order to get a full day of figure studies in.

The morning class is Figure Drawing where students work in pencil or charcoal doing short studies to start class and moving to a long pose for 1 to 2 hours.

Then after the break Figure Painting starts and we move to working directly from the figure starting with a monochromatic block-in, and moving towards a multi-week pose where we flesh out the finished painting using a limited palette and building from there.

*Materials list on The Baum School site or message me here to request one.

May 16 and 17th

A two day workshop in Easton, Pa. One day along the Delaware and Lehigh at Scott Park and one day along the Lehigh Canal. I am scouting other places to paint so the destination might change but we'll still be in the Easton, Pennsylvania area.

This is a *weekday workshop on Tuesday May 16 and Wednesday May 17
