I made an under painting using raw umber initially and then used a combination of direct and indirect painting methods to build it up. (I did the same with the indigo blue demo on the right side but that demo will be a separate video) - The concept of ‘luminosity’ comes up a lot in student questions and the narration in the video is a clip of my explanation.
