This series is made up of monochromatic paintings using Indigo Blue. I typically start all large scale paintings with a monochromatic block-in moving towards a full palette of color once the composition is set. For years, I’ve used Indigo paintings as an end in themselves adding nothing but white to raise the values. I fell in love with Indigo Blue for it’s depth, range, and quiet power. It’s the visual equivalent of the sound of a solo cello playing in a big empty room. Look for more in this series in the near future.

Seeing a painting in person is obviously the best way for a collector to decide if they would like to purchase the work.
