This series is a kind of meditation on before, during, and after. I focused on the idea of watching a storm approach, happen, and pass. As I wrote in the catalog text:

I wanted to bring the energy of storms in and out of these paintings; to be present with the motion and the rest, the light and the dark, the inhale and the exhale. Present while recording the passing of time so I could make something tangible out of uncertainty and in spite of the uniquely discomforting concept that is our own impermanence. Present while stitching together before, during, and after, because impermanence, as it pertains to storms, is comforting.

Seeing a painting in person is obviously the best way for a collector to decide if they would like to purchase the work.

Studio visits are always welcome and encouraged but when that’s not possible, a video really helps in ways that still photos can’t. Please feel free to call or email to schedule a time to visit the paintings in person.

If you’re not local, I am happy to set up a video call and show you more details of the work.
